A ONE-OF-A-KIND PIECE

The Process

Follow a single creation from its first lines to its final polish, through wax casting and the work of the hand.

The Sketch

01

The Sketch

The first lines establish the rhythm of the necklace. Intertwining curves, open spaces and the central drop are brought into balance before the piece takes form.

Sculpted in Wax

02

Sculpted in Wax

The drawing becomes a three-dimensional wax model. Its volumes and proportions are refined, preparing the form that will be translated into gold.

From Wax to Gold

From Wax to Gold

In lost-wax casting, a wax model is enclosed in a heat-resistant mould. Heating removes the wax, leaving a cavity for molten gold. The casting is then released from the mould and cleaned before work continues at the bench.

Refined by Hand

04

Refined by Hand

Casting is one stage in the making. At the bench, the metal elements are refined, adjusted and assembled by hand, giving definition to the necklace’s flowing lines.

The Art of Setting

05

The Art of Setting

The smaller stones trace the curves, while the larger stones punctuate the openwork. Each seat is prepared and each stone secured, bringing light to the structure.

The Final Polish

06

The Final Polish

The surfaces are polished and the details carefully examined. The finish and the security of the settings are checked as the necklace reaches its completed form.
